About

I play/create/compose music, for the beauty of the harmonies/melodies. The serendipitous harmonies which occur in the nature of music and the instrument. I create for the deep connection which sound, emotion and the human spirit hold; a trinity of perfect function.

To me, a melody must be beautiful, meaningful, emotional; The sadness and beauty which exist in nature. When I compose, I wish to express this to the listener

As a young child, I was very intrigued by melody. My first composition at the age of 4, consisted of two notes (I believe F and F sharp) played back and forth, over and over again. Something about the dissonance drew me in. The sound of the melody was enchanting.

Through life, this love/need/want to create melodies persisted and strengthened. I was always creating melodies in my head. In elementary school, I was always distracted with melodies in my mind. I would imagine epic scenes with music orchestrated over grand visuals.

In high school, I heightened my skill, studying under Robert Boston at the Moores School of Music. Post high school my music had began a grand journey, saturating myself in self production and releasing numerous creative projects.

Today, I have come full circle, back to the instrument which started it all, but now, with greater understanding.
